Chem-Aire® is a new thermoplastic piping system specifically designed for compressed air. Manufactured from a specially engineered formulation of acrylonitrile butadiene styrene(ABS) the end result is a homogeneous, shatter-resistant piping system with outstanding strength, ductility and impact resistance.

Materials & Construction

  • Chem-Aire(ABS) thermoplastic construction
  • Maximum service temperature for 1/2" - 2" Chem-Aire® products is 140° F and 120° F for 3" -4"
  • Self-lubricating Teflon® seats
  • FKM (Fluorocarbon) o-rings
  • Tru-Bloc design stops flow in either direction when alternate union is removed for servicing piping system
  • Full-port design
  • Actuator mountable versions available for pneumatic or electrical operation
  • Convenient quarter-turn action
  • Valves are pressure rated for continuous use at 150 psi @ 100° F

Design Standards

  • Each valve individually tested in ISO 9002 certified facility
  • Chem-Aire® systems meet all requirements of California OSHA Standard "Plastic Piping Systems for Compressed Air" Title 8, Chapter 4
  • Pipe and fittings are pressure rated for continuous use at 185 psi @ 100° F
  • Socket type fittings available 1/2" - 4"
  • Pipe is designed to Iron Pipe Size (IPS) outside diameters with heavy-duty wall thickness conforming to a Standard Dimension Ratio (SDR) of 9.0 (1/2" - 2") and 10.0 (3" - 4")
